Hidden Legal Fees in the Spotlight: Paris vs. Estate Dispute
A recent filing made public on October 9, 2025 reveals that Paris Jackson has received roughly $65 million from her father’s estate.
Paris first raised concerns in June 2025 about “premium payouts” made in 2018 to three law firms. She says these bonuses were for “uncaptured time” (hours not recorded), and that the estate did not properly document or justify them.
In response, the estate’s executors defended the payments. They claim the lawyers provided highly valuable services that helped grow the estate’s value—citing, for example, gains from the EMI music investment.
The executors also argue that Paris should raise her objections in accordance with procedural rules (i.e. in the proper way) rather than broad public attacks.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for October 16, 2025.
Would Paris Need a Lawyer in This Case?
Yes. Because she’s challenging how executors handled large bonus payments, she’d need legal help to review documents, file objections the right way, and push her claims in court.
